Welcome to Rhapsody in Light! This site is a collection of my artwork, an expression of pure color and tone with sacred symbols to heal and transform the soul. The style and technique is different from my art work at www.karengoldsmith.com, though my intention is always the same and aligned to Source. Everything in the universe responds to light and sound and emanates energy and vibrations. As I paint these spontaneous color images, it is not just the color and form I am sensing but the sound within the color. The colors swirl and move across the canvas, creating tones and melodies of light and become a symphony or rhapsody in light. In searching and studying different spiritual practices over the years, I have incorporated into my art invocations, rituals, vibrational essences and elixers, crystal energy, and luminous high frequency colors of golds and silvers. My passion is painting and seems to fill my soul with a oneness of being and a connectedness with all there is. However, I also remember as a child I was playing minuets or arias on the piano, having 13 years of classical piano training. I chose art to concentrate on in college, putting my music aside, and now realize they are merged within me, one and the same. My work continually moves me further on my spiritual path filling my soul with a sense of peace, joy and unconditional love. Namaste,
